# Ramp Integration

> Send approved freight invoices to Ramp as bills, coded and ready for your AP team.

This page is for **Shippers**: teams that quote, tender, and pay for freight in Owlery. If the person you're helping isn't a shipper, this page doesn't apply to them.

**Where to find it:** `Settings → Integrations`

Owlery sends your approved freight invoices to Ramp as bills. Each bill arrives coded with the vendor, entity, GL account, and class, so your AP team approves and pays it in Ramp like any other bill. When Ramp marks the bill paid, the Owlery invoice updates to **Paid**.

Ramp works with NetSuite or QuickBooks as the accounting system behind it.

## Getting Started

**1. Connect Ramp**

A Ramp admin creates a developer app and links it to Owlery. See [Connect Ramp to Owlery](/shippers/ramp/connect.md).

**2. Map your records**

On the Ramp card, click **Settings**. On **Routing & Mappings**, pick your accounting system, then map each carrier to its Ramp vendor, each organization to its Ramp entity, and each GL code to a GL account and class.

**3. Choose the bill type**

On the same tab, set **Invoice export mode**: draft bills for review, or approved bills if you use QuickBooks. If you use QuickBooks, set up [freight PO write-back](/shippers/quickbooks/writing-back.md) first, because Ramp bills are matched to those POs.

**4. Send a test invoice**

Approve one invoice in Owlery, send it from the Invoices page with **Send to accounting**, and check the bill in Ramp: vendor, entity, GL account, class, and amount.
