Freight Auto Updates (in the sidebar, near Users and Master Data)
As your shipments move, Owlery can update the matching order in your connected ERP or accounting system for you. For example, it can record a pickup, change a date, or add an approved invoice. Owlery also lists the orders and ASNs it sends to your warehouse here. This page shows every one of those updates and whether it worked.
The Updates Table
Each row is one update, newest first.
To see only updates that need attention, filter Result to Failed. To find a specific update, filter by Order or Event. For more on filters and sorting, see Work with Tables.
Update Details
Click a row to open its details. You’ll see the integration, event, order, and quote or load. You’ll also see each step of the update and its outcome:
For Failed and Validation Failed steps, the error messages often point to something you can fix, such as missing or invalid order data. If they don’t, email support@owlery.ai with a link to the update. Our team can review the detailed integration logs to find the cause.
Check Updates From an Order, Load, or Tender
You don’t have to start from this page. Each record’s drawer also lists its updates. Click the View update icon on any entry to open its full details here.- On orders: in the Auto Updates section of the History tab, on your own orders. The section stays hidden until an update has run. See Checking Order History.
- On loads: in the Auto Updates History tab, always.
- On tenders: in the Auto Updates History tab, when the tender was created from a quote.
Events That Trigger Updates
Which of these run for you depends on your integrations and how your account is set up. To change them, contact support@owlery.ai.
When to Check This Page
- Your ERP doesn’t match Owlery: for example, it shows an old pickup date, or a BOL or invoice never arrived. Find the order and see whether an update ran and what happened.
- You want to confirm a shipment’s updates went through: open the order’s History tab or the load’s Auto Updates History tab.
- You want to catch problems early: check for failed updates regularly, so integration issues don’t turn into billing or receiving problems.
